You’re Invited To The Abiding Fathers Legacy Luncheon

Dear friend,

With much praise and enthusiasm, we give thanks to the Lord for what He has done through the ministry of Abiding Fathers in the first half of 2018! Your faithful stewardship, through your generous prayers and financial support, is helping encourage, equip and engage fathers to steward their gifts in their homes, families and workplaces, and into the hearts of children and grandchildren of the next generation.

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”  I Peter 4:10.

Stewardship is another way of saying “a servant of God.” Stewardship, then, includes how we serve and care for people. It is at the heart of why Abiding Fathers exists. We are to honor and obey God through giving ourselves faithfully to what God has entrusted to us. God will call us to account for what we do with all of the possessions He has loaned us. Abiding Fathers helps men be rich toward God by honoring God with our possessions, helping us be abiding fathers…as these two men testify…

“Abiding Fathers has impacted my role as a father, grandfather and husband. My relationship with my wife continues to grow… stronger…as we spend more time together and both love, pray and bless our daughters/grandchildren. Abiding Father does not end with the last session of the course…that is where it begins!”  Rafy G.

“Abiding Fathers has changed the way I view my role as a father and as a husband. My wife has commented numerous times about how much joy it has brought her that I have made the family a priority and when I’m home, I am actively engaging her and our children.”  Chris C.

At every turn, we see Abiding Fathers helping men to “Be the Dad…God wants you to be.” And prison walls are no obstacle to become an abiding father. Here are just a few comments from inmates who have received training from Abiding Fathers’ Colleagues who go inside the walls of prisons to meet with men…

“The material challenged me to view my role as a father through the eyes of Christ and the word of God in what I am representing.”  James W…

“…this curriculum made me think…and come to termsIt’s never too late!”  Angel T.

…this curriculum challenged me to go home and be present in my children’s lives, to be more loving and supportive of my kids, as well as my wife.”  Beadie M.

Through your help, Abiding Fathers is expanding beyond our borders. Abiding Fathers en Español was established earlier this year, with Rafy Gutierrez named Director.

Rafy GutierrezA word from Rafy. How did God impact your heart while in Cuba? “In February 2018, God allowed me to visit Cuba to do what I thought was a very specific and limited task. God had a different plan for me. He wanted me to see what He sees, hear what He hears…experience His unlimited grace and love He has for these people. The overwhelming response from pastors, seminarians and ministry leaders continues to flow and lead us to fulfill the needs of these fathers who yearn for His word and discipleship.”

Because of your generosity, we have witnessed God’s hand moving in the hearts of men and their families:

  • Seven (7) Texas prisons now using the curriculum with over 1,000+ men trained as abiding fathers within their families.
  • Three (3) Fathers Forums meeting monthly across Dallas area.
  • 7,500+ From Faith to Faith books distributed since 2011.
  • 270 churches (and climbing!) across America have received the Abiding Fathers curriculum set in past six months.
  • Fathering 101 curriculum/videography produced in both English and Spanish.
  • Weekly Spanish internet radio program reaching 115,000+ in U.S. and beyond.

As a faithful ministry partner, we’d like for you to take part in the upcoming Abiding Fathers Legacy Luncheon on Thursday, November 1, 2018! We are honored to have as our keynote speaker, Lt.  Col.
