In the midst of God bringing judgment on Israel for its horrible disobedience, he always gives them the hope of his future covenant blessing. If you simply read these verses based on nature alone, you would miss God\u2019s covenant promise. Everywhere in scripture you can find God\u2019s prophecy and promises which are all fulfilled in Christ Jesus.<\/p>\n
In these verses, God is planting Jesus. God is looking to the time when he will bring forth Christ and the covenant in his blood and he will be planted on a high and lofty mountain. It\/he will bear branches and produce fruit and become a noble cedar. And under it will be every nation, Jews and Gentiles reflected by the analogy of every kind of bird. God says he\u2019s going to do it, and he did in Christ who came to earth. He lived, taught, died, was resurrected and ascended.<\/p>\n
We all need to read scripture in light of what it is saying about our Lord Jesus Christ. It changes everything you read. God doesn\u2019t miss a beat. It\u2019s all about his Son. It always has been and always will be. Praise be to God!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
