As a girl\u2019s high school soccer coach, I am reminded of one of the lessons I recently shared with them.<\/p>\n
God has chosen each of us to lead others in some manner.<\/p>\n
2 Chronicles 31:21 says: \u201cIn all that he did in the service of the Temple of God and in his efforts to follow God’s laws and commands, Hezekiah sought his God wholeheartedly. As a result, he was very successful.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Hezekiah was admired for pouring his entire heart and soul into his work. He is an example for us in athletics, school and every aspect of life to come, including in our service to the Lord.\u00a0Most people are best led by example. If the example that we present is good, then our leadership will be equally good. The converse is true, even more so.<\/p>\n Being soccer players you want to pour your entire heart and soul into your efforts. This will help you to be a leader on the team, in your classes and on the field.<\/p>\n God truly rewards His children as we seek after Him and love Him with all our heart and soul. Be focused on Him and He will truly bless your efforts.<\/p>\n I continually challenge the girls. \u201cTake what you learn through soccer and apply it to the rest of your lives\u2014as you attend college and become leaders in the community and business world.\u201d<\/p>\n Here is some more food for thought–<\/p>\n This effort takes true commitment. Are you prepared to commit your all to Him and His plan for your life? As you do, I can say with complete certainty, you will be blessed beyond all you could ask or imagine.<\/p>\n This lesson certainly applies equally to each of you as parents and leaders in whatever capacity He has chosen for you.<\/p>\n As dads, we should model the behavior of what we want our children to become–how we treat others, how we love our wives, how we handle conflict, how we revere our Lord and worship our God.
