In the past three years Covid has altered my focus from stateside prison ministry to coordinating Abiding Fathers Africa. While I may spend some time in local prison ministry, my new focus will be exclusively on the expansion of Abiding Fathers Ministry in East Africa and beyond.
With the Abiding Fathers Africa Ministry now represented in ten African nations, additional attention is needed to move the training from simply training the trainers to second generation development of materials for fathers. In addition, Abiding Fathers Africa has recently begun a partnership with a local denomination to introduce Abiding Fathers to the prison system in Rwanda. Our first inroad to this new endeavor is at an Eastern Region Penitentiary where 20,000 inmates languish. It is our hope to train prison inmates to become both persons of faith as well as trainers in the Abiding Fathers workbook, From Faith to Faith.
It is a privilege to continue working with Bill Dotson, Rafy Gutierrez and the rest of the Abiding Fathers team to bring spiritual transformation to men in every segment of African society. Our mission as the Abiding Fathers Africa team is to help men in all walks of life to rebuild their homes and families by becoming better Dads. We have initiatives to train students, business men, pastors, farmers and regular workers throughout the nations. As we obediently do this task please pray God graciously enhances our faithfulness with continued fruitfulness.
