Restoring the Fatherhood Role
Fatherlessness is the most devastating trend of this generation. Overwhelmingly, the increasing rates of youth suicides, youth homelessness, high school dropouts, and debilitating behavioral struggles among children are all statistically linked to the absence of fathers. Furthermore, society has abandoned fathers, claiming that their presence in the family is irrelevant, and even unnecessary. At Abiding Fathers, we are restoring the dignity and integrity of the fatherhood role, and equipping dads to lead and love their children in a transformative way.
What We Do
Providing Tools for Fathers
So often, men don’t fully understand what it means to be a father. We must first understand the fatherhood role in order to fulfill it passionately and purposefully. We want to compassionately challenge fathers as we help them understand what fatherhood means from a Biblical perspective. Ultimately, we want men to model the love of Jesus to their children, and we provide the tools to help them accomplish this.

Throughout all of the places that Abiding Fathers participates with fathers in their journey toward godly discipleship of their children, we adhere to three key missions.
EQUIP
Understanding the role as a father is higrolriority. This provides them with the vision and is the first step to ensure that they are able to fulfill their role, which is ‘discipleship’ of their children. We provide the tools to accomplish this. All the resources are Biblical, thus pointing their children to Christ and the gospel. The elements of discipleship are tenfold and can be addressed individually or with other dads. Once equipped, then they are prepared to move forward.
ENGAGE
As we equip the dads with the resources, now they are better prepared to engage their children. We want to be available to them as they put what they have learned into action. The engagement is the most difficult part of the role. Every family has a unique set of issues and dynamics. One shoe does not fit all. So, we will continue to provide supportive means to assist them in their most worthwhile journey. This support can be personal or through online messaging.
ENCOURAGE
Fathers, like everyone, need encouragement. Our purpose is to come alongside dads or would-be dads to challenge them and support them. Being a dad is a difficult role, especially trying to do it alone. We want to set a framework for them to operate from, allowing them the greatest opportunity for success. We want the men to know that is not about perfection, but the pursuit. But we also want them to understand that is this is one of the highest callings in life, and that they can succeed.

We are a discipleship ministry that helps men understand and embrace their role as a dad. We accomplish this through workshops, small groups, digital and print resources, and podcasts.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
Can Abiding Fathers make a difference and turn the tide back to wholesome families?
No, but God can, through us, and He will use Abiding Fathers as one of His instruments. Since 2019, the ministry has become international in scope. God has shown us that the absentee father issue is not only here in America but around the world. The fatherless situation breaks God’s heart and He is beginning to repair it.
