God is ‘all-in’!

Be the Dad

God’s plan

In the beginning God…created everything necessary for his people to prosper. He walked with Adam and Eve and communed with them. It was a sinless environment and they had full access to the Creator God. This was the original design by the Lord and only through sin were they and now we, separated from full communion with him.

But God…will not be denied of the eternal plan for his creation. What he started, he is completing. The next step by God to show that he is ‘all in’ is this. He called people to himself through Abraham, people of faith, and then allowed them to be in captivity for hundreds of years in Egypt. He called Moses to lead them for forty years to the Promised Land. Early on, God took Moses up to the top of Mount Sinai and gave him the Ten Commandments as well as all the instructions to build the tent of meeting and tabernacle. All of this is recorded in Leviticus.

The Gospel

This was to enable a holy God to dwell with his chosen people which was the original plan in the Garden. And the next step was to fulfill everything in Leviticus in and through his Son, once and forever. Jesus said that he did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. The gospel is God’s final statement about how much he loves those he has chosen to dwell with for eternity. God is ‘all in’ and he proved it when his Son became ‘all in’ on Golgotha! He has abolished the sin that separates us from him through the blood of Christ. And one day we who are in Christ will be glorified and return to the new Garden for eternity. Allelujah!!
