Impact

I’ve taught in prisons and jails, juvenile detention centers and homeless shelters for the last 50 years. What I experienced recently provides the wind beneath my wings. Recently, after Covid weakened and Hutchins State Jail reopened, I started back teaching the Abiding Fathers curriculum there. Before the class started, a young man came in and asked if I was the one that had written this material. He said that he had been very blessed by the program and that he had been chosen to teach it internally four times during Covid. And that, if possible, he would like to become certified to teach the material when released.

Joy

I asked him if he would be willing to write a short testimony of his experience. Two weeks later he brought me a four-page hand printed letter which you will see in this video. We have selected portions of the letter which comprise a three-minute video. I know you will be blessed, as I and others have been. It captures the challenges that many dads and families are facing. But it also demonstrates how God can change men and their circumstances. And we are grateful to God for all the lives he’s impacting through the ministry; in prisons, churches and the marketplace, here and in numerous other countries.

Now, let’s hear from Edward about his inexpressible joy!! It’s okay if you tear up!
