Abiding Fathers, the leading ministry in biblical fatherhood based in Dallas, TX, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Rafael Gutiérrez as its new Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 16, 2023.
Possessing a combination of corporate finance, operational and ministerial experience, Dr. Gutiérrez brings a wealth of leadership and strategic expertise to Abiding Fathers.
Prior to his appointment as CEO, Dr. Gutiérrez served on the ministry’s board of directors for two years before being named director of Padre de Corazón, the Hispanic division of Abiding Fathers, a position he has held for the last four years. In addition, Dr. Gutiérrez is the producer and voice of Padre de Corazón podcasts and radio programs and leads conferences and workshops on fatherhood throughout the U.S. and Latin America.
Dr. Gutiérrez’s knowledge and proven abilities will be instrumental in moving Abiding Fathers into the future both in the mission of the ministry and its use of new methods of communication to more efficiently bring the message of biblical fatherhood around the world.
In accepting his new role, Dr. Gutiérrez expressed his excitement and honor in leading Abiding Fathers saying, “I believe God is taking Abiding Fathers – to expand its reach and influence and to be recognized as the leading ministry in biblical fatherhood around the world”. The announcement signals a new era for Abiding Fathers as the demand for the ministry grows exponentially in the United States and abroad.
Dr. Gutiérrez succeeds Abiding Fathers’ founder Mr. Bill Dotson, who has served as President for the last 12 years. Mr. Dotson has decided to retire from his position in order to pursue personal endeavors and spend more time with his family. Abiding Fathers expresses its sincere gratitude to Mr. Dotson for his many years of leadership and dedication, as well as significant contributions to the ministry’s growth.
As Abiding Fathers begins this new chapter under Dr. Gutiérrez, the ministry remains committed to its mission to encourage, equip and engage men in their God-given roles as fathers.
